Friday's Fancies + Five

I haven't linked up for Friday's Fancies in a couple weeks, but I had to come back for one of my favorite trends - lace!  Even though to me, it's not a trend.  It's something I could happily wear season after season.  It's ladylike and old-fashioned, but can be updated with modern silhouettes and bright colors.  Instead of doing an outfit, I decided to just pull a selection of some of my favorite lace items out there right now.

Five thoughts from this week:

1. I'm realizing that I really need to work on my patience and learn how to properly shop on ebay.  More and more lately I'm seeing bloggers score these awesome things on there.  For example, I cannot get over this fabulous midi leather skirt that Alison scored.

2. In the spirit of spring hopefully being nearby, I can't wait to try this spiked peach tea recipe from Emily.

3. I think I have all the pieces to make this outfit work - stripes + floral + leopard + cargo vest.  Hoping I can pull it off like Shanna!

4. Really getting random here, but I tried spaghetti squash for the first time this week, and WHAT?!  Why hadn't I tried this before?  It's so good and it actually does taste like spaghetti.  This will be the next recipe I try with it.

5. As my obsession with mint grows, I have my eye on this watch, this bag, and these flats.  I need to reign it in.

  3. I tried that peplum top on at Target but it fit really weird on me. I haven't bought any clothes on ebay...maybe I need to check that out too! Happy Friday!

  8. This skirt is taffeta (though I do have an eBayed leather midi too!). I can't even recall how I found this one... I think from another blogger actually! But I have become a HUGE eBay shopper, and have a few alerts set up for certain brands, sizes of shoes, etc.!
